In 2023, the average internal block time was measured as 42 days. It was observed that in 50% (median) of blocked items, the block time was less than 22 days. Therefore, a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt project was initiated to reduce the block time from 42 days to approach the median of 22(+4) days.

Analysis of the Current Situation

Initially, addressing internal job blockages was prioritized due to quicker resolution times. Data selection focused on a specific department as a sample. Subsequently, a thorough analysis of blocked jobs within teams was conducted, filtering out long-standing blockages.

Gains After the Studies

With the reduction in block time, an improvement in Time To Market (TTM) is aimed, leading to increased customer satisfaction.
